Dear Neighbors:
We have received communication from some residents regarding the recent tree trimming project in our community. We would like to clarify the situation.
Benchmark has been instructed by the District's engineers to trim specific trees in the District's right-of-way. These trees are considered safety hazards due to their impact on the visibility of intersections and road signs.
The team left letters on the front doors of affected homes the week prior to commencement of the tree trimming. If you wish to address the visibility issues yourself, you are welcome to trim your tree before Benchmark arrives. However, please note that if the visibility is still an issue, Benchmark will perform further trimming as needed.
Please be assured that no trees will be fully removed without prior consultation. If the District engineers determine that a tree must be removed rather than trimmed, they will contact the homeowner to discuss resolution options.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Ensuring clear visibility on our roads is crucial for the safety of our community. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us.
Thank you for being part of our neighborhood.
