July 4th is a time of great celebration but don't let that celebration turn into tragedy.
The National Fire Protection Association reports that each year fireworks are the cause of more than 19,000 fires and result in more than 9,000 injuries. Recent drought conditions only increase the risks of fire.
Celebrate safely with these fun alternatives or join the City of Denton for their fireworks show at North Lakes Park on Sunday, July 3.
Please note, Belmont Fresh Water Supply District No. 1 of Denton County has not given approval for the discharge of fireworks on any District property.
