Key Topics Discussed:

● Consent Agenda: The Board reviewed and discussed items included in the consent agenda. This included minutes of the September meeting as well as the tax collection report, police and animal control reports, and an update on the development of the district. Captain Dwight Thornton reported an increase in traffic contacts made by the Northlake Police department. The Board also discussed a recent dog attack reported within the District.  

●  Pickleball Court and 4th Street Parking Update: In response to a public comment from a member of the HOA board who was in attendance, the Board discussed the HOA’s possible construction of a pickleball court in the park adjacent to 4th Street and related parking considerations. 

● Bookkeepers Report: The Board reviewed and approved the bookkeepers Report with certain modifications.

● Communications Report and Community Engagement: The Board received updates on the District’s website, subscriber numbers for alerts and Facebook, and active/closed “Report a Problem” tickets. The next Harvest Market will be on November 8, 2025, residents are encouraged to visit the Belmont table and speak with their local officials. The Board also approved a cost share sponsorship for $500 with Belmont 2 for a Harvest document-shredding event, which will take place on November 1, 2025. The Board was then updated on the progress of the migration of the district website from Wix to an internal platform.

● Construction and Infrastructure Updates: The District engineer provided updates on solar street lights, tree removals, crosswalks, and district repairs, including the replacement of certain misspelled street signs within the District. 

The next meeting of Belmont FWSD No. 1 will be on Wednesday, November 10, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.
