Collection Information
Belmont FWSD No. 1 provides curbside trash and recycling services to District residents through a contract with Republic Service.

Republic Services observes the following holidays:
New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
Collection will occur on the next regularly scheduled service day following each holiday.
Container Placement
Place your recycling and waste containers two feet away from each other and away from the edge of the street. Make sure the handle is facing your house, so that the lid opens toward the street. Please check to see that they are not obstructed by parked cars, boats, etc.
Brush and Bulk
Brush and bulk items are collected EVERY WEDNESDAY. Brush must be cut to 4-foot lengths and tied in bundles. Furniture, boxes, and other household items too big to fit inside your container, and construction debris (generated from your house only) will also be collected. Non-compactables like brick, concrete, dirt, composition shingles, etc. must be placed in containers. Containers and bundles must not weigh more than 50 pounds.
Additional Services
Extra pickup service may be scheduled for a minimum charge with payment in advance. Additional containers may be ordered for a minimum monthly charge. You can request container repair when needed. For new services, please contact Stacy Cueva at 817-953-7214.
Republic Services will clean up any spillage that occurs during the collection process. However, if liquid items such as gasoline, motor oil, paints, cooking oil, or any other liquid items that are not visible to the Republic Services, Co. employee spills and causes a stain, Republic Services, Co. cannot be held responsible.

Trash and Recycling Pickup Schedule
Wednesdays Place trash and recycling containers at the curb NO LATER THAN 7:00 a.m. Please return carts to their storage area by the end of the pick-up day.
Service Interruptions
While Republic Services makes every effort to complete service on the scheduled day, service may be interrupted due to weather or other circumstances.

Missed Pickups
General Information

All household garbage waste must be placed in the 95 Gallon carts with the lid closed at least 50%. Please refer to the graphic below for guidance.
If your carts exceed the capacity limit, your trash will not be picked up.
All household trash should be bagged and placed inside the cart. Loose wet trash (such as used diapers, food, drink containers, etc) inside the cart will not be collected.
