Update on Road Work near Harvest

February 19, 2026

Residents,

Belmont FWSD 1 wishes to inform you of multiple upcoming and ongoing road improvement projects happening around the Harvest community.

407 Micro Breakout Project:

Next week the Denton County Commissioners Court will be taking up consideration for approval of a contract for the FM-407 breakout project at I-35W to add right turn lanes west of I-35W and through lanes underneath I-35W bridges.

After approval residents will quickly begin to see traffic message boards going up giving information about the project timeline and lane closures.

Lane, Ramp Closures at I-35E/I-35W:

Weather permitting, the following traffic impacts are scheduled as part of the ongoing I-35E/I-35W Merge Project:

  • All lanes of northbound I-35W will be closed from the I-35E/I-35W interchange to Oak Street from 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 to 5 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20. Follow the signed detour, which uses I-35E around this closure.
  • The northbound I- 35E off-ramp to Bonnie Brae will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20 to 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21.
  • Be alert to frontage road closures in the area.

Drivers can expect delays through the area and should plan extra travel time. As progress continues, check https://drivetexas.orgdrivetexas.org for daily lane closures.

Realignment of Cleveland-Gibbs South of FM 407:

A realignment of Cleveland-Gibbs Road, south of FM 407, is currently underway and is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.

Once finished, this project will improve traffic flow and create a safer, more efficient driving experience for our residents. We appreciate your patience as Denton County work to enhance its infrastructure.
